Zoomer Radio AM 740 and 96.7 FM

The New Classical FM is English Canada’s only commercial all-classical music radio station and broadcasts Beautiful Music For A Crazy World – plus news, weather, traffic, Zoomer Reports, interviews and live concert broadcasts in front of a live studio audience from the 150-seat Zoomer Hall in Toronto’s Liberty Village.

The New Classical FM is broadcast on three different frequencies throughout Ontario: 96.3 FM (GTA), 103.1 FM (Eastern Ontario), and 102.9 FM (South Georgian Bay).

In 2017, Bill Anderson, host of Bill’s Classical Jukebox heard weekdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. ET, moved to Collingwood where he now broadcasts live from the local downtown radio studio, and connects with the community via local news, event listings, interviews and, of course, listener requests that flow in from across Ontario, the US and around the world.

Classical Mornings start the day with Mike Duncan and mezzo-soprano Jean Stilwell.

The afternoon drive becomes a calm Oasis with Alexa Petrenko, and an evening meal is never complete without Kathleen Kajioka’s Dinner Classics as she takes you through the perfect musical mix from appetizers to dessert. Seven nights a week, the perfect way to end your day is Nocturne, the world’s only radio show featuring a unique combination of calming music and poetry hosted by Marilyn Lightstone, actress, visual artist and the voice of The New Classical FM and VisionTV.

Weekends are defined by specialty programs like Classical Chartz (a weekly Top 10 countdown), From Zero to 1800 (early and baroque music), Destination Classics (a music travelogue), Sunday Night at the Opera (new and classic opera recordings plus exclusive news and interviews), and Pop Classics, program director Paul Thomas’ weekly look at what’s new and hot in the world of classical and crossover music.

The New Classical FM’s concert series Live From Zoomer Hall, have become a destination for the world’s most renowned performers. These intimate and interactive concerts are broadcast live-to-air and streamed live on ZoomerRadio.ca.

Past Live From Zoomer Hall guests have included: opera sensations Sondra Radvanovsky and Measha Brueggergosman, international superstars Lang Lang, Canadian Brass, Mischa Maisky, Sir James Galway, Jan Lisieki, Anne Sophie Mutter, Lara St. John, Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra, Loreena McKennitt, and Midori, and crossover favourites Il Volo and the Piano Guys.
